What game system do I need for Rock Band and Guitar Hero?
My kids want Rock Band and Guitar Hero for Christmas. What game system is best? I have no clue about these games.
How old are your kids?
You need an XBOX 360, which I recommend, or a Wii, or a PS3. I personally wouldn’t go towards the PS3.
The 360 is an amazing console and more people have it so if your kids around 12+ and they want Xbox Live to play against their friends, I’d go with this console. You can check out prices here: http://www.xbox.com/en-US/hardware/compare101.htm . It plays movies in HD and you can pretty much do whatever you want with it. The only downside with the 360 is how expensive getting XBOX Live is. You don’t need it to play but if your kids are getting to be teenagers, they will want it. It’s like 100$ for the wireless adapter and 60$ for a year of live.
The Wii is a good family console but not a lot of older kids like it.
The PS3 doesn’t have a lot of the better games for it. Microsoft comes out with the best games (in my opinion) but the PS3 does have a blu-ray player.
There is a huge debate for which is better, PS3 or Xbox. You can look it up on youtube or go here, http://www.hardcoreware.net/playstation-3-vs-xbox-360-two-years-later/ and quickly skim through.
In my opinion, the 360 is waay better.

Either an Xbox 360, Playstation 3, or Wii.
If your looking for overall best I would recommend the Xbox 360, but if your kids are little then the Wii is a great family console.
