What do you think the theme or tone is in the song Hero/heroin by Boys Like Girls?
Im doing a presentation on poetry with the song Hero/Heroine. We need to have an introduction, and for the life of me I cant figure one out. Can anyone tell me there thoughts on what the song is about? Because that would help a ton. Thanks =]
first verse: about how he loves a girl even though she hurt him, and now he wants to get over her. he thought she didn’t love him and then suddenly she turns around and says she does and it confuses him extremely.
the hero/heroine thing: there are always so many controversies with the hero and his heroine, in movies like spiderman and what not, and how they can’t be together for one way or another but they still love each other and what not.
second verse: he is blinded by the way that she looks at him. he keeps thining about the past and what he wishes and wants it to be yet he knows it shouldn’t/can’t be that way. he is thinking about how he keeps saying no to her and she keeps trying and he can’t believe it because he thinks he’s not worth her.
chorus: "your love is the sweetest sin": her love is a sin yet it is so great. (sort of like an addiction to something. you know that it’s wrong but you do it anyways)
then he knows he is going to crack and how he was so determined to keep her away but she somehow "turned him around"
"and i’m feeling like a newborn child everytime i get the chance to see you smile": he feels renewed when he sees her smile.
"it’s not complicated…" he realizes it’s really not that complicated after all and he was just overthinking it too much and he is just gonna go for it.
hoped this helped
