In guitar hero III, when you do the whammys, do you get better bonuses when going up and down or holding it?

so, you know the lever… that you’re supposed to press when there are long notes. is it better like, you you get better advantages when you press ir repeatedly or when you hold it down? or is it the same?

The only benefit to using the whammy is to repeatedly press it when there are long star notes, this will give you more star power. Holding it in on these notes doesn’t have the same effect. Your score doesn’t improve when you use the whammy bar.

im pretty sure it actually doesnt change your score, but if you have star power, it makes it last longer

Going up and down gives you more star power on starred notes and it sounds cooler.

When you repeatedly move the whammy up and and down very quickly and your score will go up faster you will also get more points on the note you are holding down.

When you hit the wammy bar at all you score automaticlly starts going up so it doesn’t really matter but i like to play with it just to make it sound cooler.
