In Guitar Hero III, do you get more points for holding down the whammy bar, or normal whammy-ing?

Or does it not matter?

Normal whammy it.
If you just hold it it only works for like 1 second.
If you repeatedly do it, it will get more points

    normal and fast if u hold it down it gives the same as not doin anythin
