How Not to Run on the Treadmill
It’s strange, but the majority of women do not properly run on the treadmill. In fact I am going to be so bold and say that the way most women run on the treadmill actually makes them fatter and puts them at more risk for injuries.
What you need to know about is called steady state cardio. Steady state cardio means running at the same pace for a prolonged amount of time. The one thing you have to understand is your body is extremely efficient and can adapt very quickly. When you run at the same pace, you will adapt in a matter of two weeks.
Once that happens, your body will begin to use muscle as an energy source and store fat. You might be wondering why it would do that. It’s because fat is easier to store and because steady state cardio isn’t building lean muscle… that’s it’s only choice.
What’s the solution? You have to get in the game and use the best treadmill workouts. The right treadmill workout will not only force your body to burn fat, but it will actually help you body build lean muscle mass. That will help change your body very quickly.
We will continue to look at what makes some treadmill workouts better than others and how often you need to do them.
