Why I Like Wine Clubs

Posted on February 27th, 2010 by admin in Food and Beverages | No Comments »

You know I really do not have a favorite wines. I mean sure there are wines that I like a lot and wines that I completely adore, but these are all on a bottle by bottle basis. There is no single wine varietal that I like better than any other. In my opinion it all comes down to how well the creator of the wine crafted it. I think this is why I like being a member of a wine club so much … by being a member of a wine club I can let the wine experts pick out great wines for me. Wines they have already tasted and approved of. Makes a lot more sense than me going to the store and completely guessing about which wines are decent doesn’t it? – California Wine Club

Flax seed use by humans for general nutrition and for specific health benefits, has been reported for thousands of years (Hippocrates used it for example). Flax seed is scientifically named Linum Usitatissimum L. The leaves are varied in colour and shades; pale or dark blue or even a pinkish colour. The flax seed plant is not a tall plant; it only gets to approximately 35 inches high. The flowers gradually change to produce round seed capsules. These later develop the flax seeds themselves inside them. When we buy flax seed they are oval and flat. There are two colours of seeds primarily; pale light golden colour and a reddish brown. It seems that there isn’t any difference in their nutritional value.

Home Made Wine Health Benefits?

Posted on January 28th, 2010 by admin in Food and Beverages | No Comments »

Wine is really good for your health. One of the incredible health benefits of red wine is that it can actually build up a resistance to stroke in your brain. Basically there is a chemical in red wine that fortifies or insulates the cells in the brain from the damage caused by having a stroke. What does this mean? In essence it means that the damage caused by a small stroke can be virtually eliminated while the damage caused by a major stroke can be reduced down to the level of a minor one. Personally I find this amazing. But remember the health benefits only apply to moderate drinking, so do not overdo it!

We ordered a pizza from Mr. Gatti’s tonight. I’m trying to decide which pizza is the best, but I’m having a tough time deciding.

In the end, I’m not sure it makes much difference. Just about any pizza is good as far as I’m concerned.
