GUITARISTS>STRAT or LES PAUL? Based on the listed below users which guitar would you prefer?
FENDER STRATOCASTER USERS
Jeff Beck,Richie Blackmore,Eric Clapton,Kurt Cobain,Billy Corgan,Robert Cray,The Edge,David Gilmour,Rory Gallagher,Buddy Guy,Jimi Hendrix,Buddy Holly,Eric Johnson,Mark Knopfler,Yngwie Malmsteen,John Mayer,Bonnie Raitt,Richie Sambora,Marty Stuart,Robin Trower,Stevie Ray Vaughn,Jimmie Vaughan, Jeff "Skunk" Baxter,Tommy Bolin,Bob Dylan, George Harrison, Terry Kath,Ed King,Uli Jon Roth, ,Mike Rutherford, Adrian Smith,Richard Thompson,Joe Walsh, and Frank Zappa.
GIBSON LES PAUL USERS
Duane Allman, Buckethead,Al DiMeola,The Edge,Peter Frampton,Ace Frehley,Robert Fripp, Steve Gaines,Billy Gibbons, Peter Green,Steve Hackett,Kirk Hammett,George Harrison,Warren Haynes,James Hetfield,Adam Jones,Steve Jones,Mick Jones,Phil Keaggy,Mark Knopfler,Paul Kossoff,Alex Lifeson,Bob Marley,Gary Moore,Jimmy
Page,Joe Perry,Randy Rhoads,Brian Robertson,Mick Ronson,Gary Rossington,Tom Scholz,Neal Schon,Slash,Adrian Smith,Mick Taylor,Pete Townshend,Neil Young, and Frank Zappa
Well to be honest with you your list is only half right. Starting from the birth of these two very solid guitars (I own three American Fender Stratocasters, a 54 Vintage Relic Stratocasters, a J-500 Gibson Acoustic, a NOS Fender Esquire-first Telecaster-, and a Jimmy Page Custom Shop Les Paul) the sound quality and feel have been valuable to so many different styles and players and often times choosing the best between the two is rather pointless. In general, the Strat is known for its bright, smooth single-coil sound with the traditional bodies being made of the light Alder wood. This tone has been able to be shaped from the grungiest sounds of Nirvana to the amazing shred guitar of Malmsteen and Roth. On the other hand the Gibson Les Paul is known for its (generally) heavier wood and humbucking pickups which have produced a thick, crunchy sound. Of course neck, fretboard, and body types all vary the sound the distinguishing feature about these guitars is that they are all vastly different from model to model. The Japanese Fender Stratocasters from the late 80s which are now sought after can have the "heavy" sound that some claim only the Les Paul can get. You can really play any style on either guitar and with the right set up of amp and effects can overcome both guitars downsides. As for the players you listed….
Jeff Beck - Teles, Strats, and Les Pauls (Blow By Blow era)
Eric Clapton - Strats, Teles, Les Pauls, and SGs
The Edge - Strats, Explorers, Teles, SGs, and Les Pauls
Marty Stuart - Strats, Ibanez (various)
Jimi Hendrix - Guild, Strats, SGs, Flying Vs
Frank Zappa - Gibson Hollowbodies and Strats
Joe Walsh - Strats, Les Pauls
Al DiMeola - Strats, Les Pauls
Kirk Hammett - LTD/ESP Custom Shop Model and Strats
Mark Knopfler - Strats!!!!!!
Joe Perry - Strats
etc….

Any (obscure) music suggestions?
I’m up for suggestions! I made a list of the music that is on my computer so you can get an idea of what I listen to. As you can tell, my music taste varies. However, I despise most of the popular bands (okay, ALL) bands of today. Also, keep in mind that I have many more artists on CD that isn’t on my computer so they are not listed….so, try to be as obscure as possible. Thank you!

Some albums:
"The Way Of The Vaselines" by The Vaselines (quirky Scottish group, now defunct, influential on Nirvana)
"L’Amour Fou" by Kanda Bongo Man (soukous music from Zaire - brilliant guitar playing and very uplifting)
"Barbed Wire Kisses" by the Jesus & Mary Chain (it’s a best-of, but as you don’t have any, it’s a start : )
"45s And Under" by Squeeze (great melodic pop from a songwriting duo who were heralded as the new Lennon-McCartney. Not quite, but worth checking out)
"Beers, Steers + Queers" by Revolting Cocks (the weirder side of industrial)
"Architecture & Morality" by Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark (elegant early electronica from 1981)

Could u plz tell me if i am a punk/goth/emo or neither after reading the situation explained below? ?
I always love to dress like a rockstar but i try to stay as normal rockstar as possible. I wear a black screened band tee, a band pendant, a normal watch, wristbands, jeans, pants chain on the right side of my jeans, and a normal black shoe everytime i go outside. I also do my hair like Elvis. I dont have any piercings or tattoos. The t-shirts i usually wear is Jimi Hendrix i listen to Ben Harper, The Killers, Foo Fighters, Chris Isaak, Tom Petty, Pearl Jam, David Bowie, Dave Matthews, Pete Yorn, Norah Jones, David Gray, Tracy Chapman, Shawn Colvin, KT Tunstall, Death Cab for Cutie, Snow Patrol, Cold Play, Audioslave, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Nickelback, John Butler Trio, Sheryl Crow, Jack Johnson, Train, Natalie Merchant, Gin Blossoms, Maia Sharp, John Mayer, Carbon Leaf, Green Day, Lenny Kravitz, Saucy Monky, Jason Mraz, Elvis Costello, Eric Clapton, The Beatles, The Pretenders, The Police, Van Morrison, The Who, Pink Floyd, Fleetwood Mac, Santana, Peter Gabriel, John Haitt, Lucinda Williams, Lyle Lovett, Steve Winwood, Elton John, Annie Lennox, The Eagles, Bruce Springsteen, The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, John Mellencamp, Eric Clapton, Allman Brothers, U2, Sting, Doobie Brothers, Koko Taylor, B.B. King, Jonny Lang, Buddy Guy, Bonnie Raitt, Susan Tedeschi, Bob Marley, Ziggy Marley……. which rockstar group do you think i fall into. goth, emo, punk, or neither?
I believe in Small Government, Less Tax, and a Strong Military. My Social stances include, Pro-life, Pro-Israel, Pro-marriage, and Pro-NRA.
Subject-wise has hovered around History because much of my political beliefs have been shaped by what I learned in the past. History plays a key role in shaping our future so we can learn from it or repeat our mistakes.
None of them and definitley NOT punk because there wasn’t a punk band listed.
