Choosing A Google Friendly Domain Name

Posted on February 16th, 2010 by admin in Advertising |

When choosing a domain there are many TLDs to choose from. A general rule is to stick to com net and org. Go and look for yourself — type a keyword into google and see what domain name extensions show up for high volume keywords like weight loss.

Another rule of thumb is to include the keyword phrase you want to rank for in the domain name. Also make the keyword phrase come at the beginning of the domain name and add a word like review or shop to the end of it if necessary. Some people also use dashes between the words if the non-dash keyword phrase is not available. One of my most successful domains is a dashed keyword phrase.
