My kids want Rock Band and Guitar Hero for Christmas. What game system is best? I have no clue about these games.

How old are your kids?

You need an XBOX 360, which I recommend, or a Wii, or a PS3. I personally wouldn’t go towards the PS3.

The 360 is an amazing console and more people have it so if your kids around 12+ and they want Xbox Live to play against their friends, I’d go with this console. You can check out prices here: http://www.xbox.com/en-US/hardware/compare101.htm . It plays movies in HD and you can pretty much do whatever you want with it. The only downside with the 360 is how expensive getting XBOX Live is. You don’t need it to play but if your kids are getting to be teenagers, they will want it. It’s like 100$ for the wireless adapter and 60$ for a year of live.

The Wii is a good family console but not a lot of older kids like it.

The PS3 doesn’t have a lot of the better games for it. Microsoft comes out with the best games (in my opinion) but the PS3 does have a blu-ray player.

In my opinion, the 360 is waay better.

i want guitar hero world tour, but i need to know if you need all the instrument ,or if you can play it with just the guitar ?

No you can play with any instrument solo or with a friend! But there are different careers for the different instruments.

My nephew had the PS2. Now what do I need to get so he can have all the basics and add ons for guitar Hero?

You should buy the game, and other things depend on which game it is. For newer games (Guitar Hero’s World Tour, Metallica, Smash Hits, 5, or Band Hero.) You should get him a guitar, a microphone, and a drum set, which can be bought in a full band bundle. For all other games, you only need a guitar and a game, which can be bought together. You also might want to get two guitars if he plans on playing with others.

When i ride, we go down the gravel road when we get to the corner he turns around back home; not the way i want to go. when i try to turn him he just runs. he wont go down that road and theres nothing that can scare him and i know hes not tired, its not that far. Is he just stubborn? what do i do?

It sounds like he is barn sour. You can do a search on here for it and there are A LOT of good answers regarding this issue.

Most of all you need to be firm and NEVER let him run home. Even if you actually want him to… it can cause even more of a problem. Be careful when trying to correct this bad habit because if he gets too worked up someone can get hurt. If he tries to run home, turn circles to get his attention back to you and go the opposite direction until he is ready to listen, then try again. It can be a long walk home at that rate but it helps. I found that riding around the yard near the barn or even in the pasture can help as he then knows that even though hes back at the barn work time is not over.

If you feel like this is too much for you get a trainer to help.

I really thought about helping you out here, just because it would be fun to write. Then I looked at your profile and see that:

1. You answer other people’s questions so obviously without care and thought and apparently just for points so you can go ask more questions.

and

there are 5 guitar heros, but the 4th and 5th need extra band equipment. if you have the extra money (and the extra space, the whole set takes up a lot of room) then go for it. but i recommend getting guitar hero 3 with just guitar.

overall

guitar hero three + one guitar = $79.99
extra guitar = 30 bucks

and if you have 2 kids get 2 guitars, 3 kids get 3
